Rich for Model Number JGBP24BEH1WH I have a GE oven JGBP24BEH1WH. All burners on stove top work fine. However the bake and broil functions do not work. It was recommended that I may need to replace the oven control assembly. Before doing so I wanted to diagnose further. The clock on the oven works fine. In addition when I push the bake on/off or broil on/off the display works. Would those functions work if I need to replace the oven control assembly as suggested earlier? I noticed the oven light does not work as well.
Answer Hello Rich. First make sure you have 240 volts coming to the unit. You can test and see if your getting 240 volts to the element with the clock on. If the relay on the clock is not sending 240 volts to the element, then the clock is bad. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 13, 2011
