Jon for Model Number Whirlpool Super capacity 465 Gas stove/oven We had a power outage the other night and now I notice that the oven wont light. The top burners work as does the broiler. Took off the bottom plate in oven to see if the igniter glows.(it does not) All electronics, clock and timers, work. Did the power outage damage just the igniter?
Answer Hello Jon. Test for power coming to the igniter. If there is power there and it does not glow, you will need to order and replace the igniter WB2X9154 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
