Frank D for Model Number JGSP21GER2WH Oven burner will light, then go out after igniter turns off (10 sec). Oven will not light below a temperature setting of 250 deg/f. Relays in control board only actuate at 250 or higher. Igniter for the broiler is visibly broken, and broiler will not light. I cannot determine if this unit has a broiler assist feature. Would one broken igniter (broiler) cause the Oven burner to extinguish?
Answer Hello Frank, This unit is a independent operation and does not use the broiler to assist in the operation of the oven operation on bake. You would want to replace the broil ignigtor WB2X9154 due to being broken. For the unit only actuating at 250 degrees you may want to check your oven sensor. Oven sensor WB21X5301 should ohm out at 1100 ohms at room temp. Also check your amp draw to the oven ignitor. Amp draw should be 2.7 to 3.5 amps. Low amp draw would be a bad ignitor. Read More...
