Nancy for Model Number jgrs14gep Oven will not lite. When i try to lite broiler it will fire up for about 30 second then go out. ignitor?
Answer Nancy, You will first want to check to make sure that the ignitor continues to glow when the flames has shut off. You can test the resistance of the ignitor using a volt-ohm meter set to Rx 100. The resistance should be between 50 and 150 ohms. Measure resistance of the gas valve fromm terminal to terminal across the valve. The normal resistance is 3 to 5 ohms. If not within range replace the valve. Read More...
