Chris My oven pilot light refuses to stay lit for any substantial length of time. I can light it with a baton lighter and cook just fine. However, when the gas is turned off, (and sometimes even while cooking at lower temperatures), the pilot goes out. I think the problem is that it's not detecting the pilot flame correctly, and thus shutting down the gas to prevent what it thinks is a leak, but am not sure. Is that the thermocouple, or another part?
Answer Hello Chris, The thermostat WB20K10013, thermocouple and pilot WB16K10061 needs to be replaced to correct your issue. The thermostat is the safety valve on this model if the model you were looking at is correct. You didn't list the model number so I'm hoping the model you were looking at, (AGBS300PJ1WW). If this isn't your model number, you need to repost or look the parts up by the correct model number to get the correct replacement parts. Read More...
