Debbie for Model Number JGBP24BEA1WH Only the broiler is working in our G.E. gas range. How can we tell if the igniter is out or the bake relay? Also, are there two igniters. It appears to have only one and since the broiler is working it makes sense to us that it must be the bake relay? Right or wrong? Thanks!
Answer Hi Debbie. The range has 2 separate oven igniter. Since the broiler is working, then it is ok. The bake igniter part # is WB2X9154. It is very common that the igniter usually gets weak and 'opens' so current wont flow. If you cannot see a visible crack (in the middle), then unless you use a amprobe to measure the current flow on the safety valve, then reasonable deduction is a bad igniter. Thank-you Read More...
