Bob H for Model Number PSS26MSWASS GE Refrigerator PSS26MSWA SS .... Ice maker issues. Plastic drive cup has broken 2 times now, and I am wondering what the common causes of this are. The maker seems to have issues in the crush mode, then the tab on the drive cup breaks off. I am about to replace the cup, which I got from APP, but should I be looking for other items that are actually causing the cup to break?
Answer Bob, With the drive cup breaking this would normally be caused by a issue with ice clumping together inside the bin and will cause this issue.
