Debbie for Model Number GTWN5050M0WS Washer kicks into rinse cycle and DOES NOT stop filling with water and OVERFLOWS. Have had to purchase a shop vac. So the good ole days of putting your clothes in the washer and walking away is over. I have to stand there and wait for the desired amount of water to fill and then you have to manually agitate your clothing in the off mode then drain and spin. Because REMEMBER, it wont stop filling up with water. I have always owned G.E. products and have been very happy, the new HE washers... I hate hate hate it, not enough water to get your clothes wet during wash cycle, now with new problem, rinse cycle overflow. What part do I need to purchase for my washer and can I install it myself.?
Answer Debbie, You will want to check to see if the water stops filling if you unplug the unit. If it does then the most likely cause for the issue will be that either the pressure hose is clogged up or has a bad control board. The control board would be the most likely cause for this issue. The part number for the control board is WH12X10475. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 11, 2015
