Al for Model Number GSS25VGMBWW How do I know if the relay is good or not. the compressor does not run. I don't want to replace the relay if not needed. Is there a way to check it?
Answer Al, the compressor overload WR08X10026 would need to be tested for 120VAC to identify if the compressor is receiving voltage or not. If it is, the refrigerator power cord would need to be unplugged and the overload tested for continuity from the terminal to the compressor side port. If there is continuity, this will identify that the compressor or the start relay WR07X10057 would be the cause of failure. If there was clicking when the compressor was receiving voltage, the failure is in the relay. If there was not, the failure would likely be in the compressor. Read More...
