Craig for Model Number HOTPOINT HDA330Y73WW I am repairing a leaky pump to motor seal. I ordered the repair kit wd19x10032. While waiting for the parts to be delivered I am disassembling the pump. The motor unscrewed from the pump like I expected but the screen at the inlet side of the pump seems to be glued not twist locked in place. This unit is about 15 years old. Is this the case ? I know a replacement screen is included in the kit, do I cut out the old part? It is solidly bonded to the pump housing. I am hoping to avoid buying a whole new motor pump assembly.
Answer Craig, The screen should turn counter clockwise and to remove you may need to use a pair of needle nose pliers to get ahold of it to turn the screen. The screen does need to be turned off and you would not want to cut it off. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 23, 2013
