Greg for Model Number GSD5360F01SS I have the GE Triton dishwasher model #GSD5360F01SS. At the end of every cycle, no matter if its wash or rinse only, it has about an inch and a half of water in it. In reading the other Q&A, i did what you suggested. i took off the hose to the sink and ran a rinse cycle. it discharges about a gallon of water no problem. i ran a wash cycle and it did the same. The drain hose is not obstructed, the discharge pump does pump out water, just not all of it. Is there a sensor or some other method of the unit thinking it is empty that may be bad, or can a weak pump run for a specified time and just not empty completely. I am not sure if the drain cycle is time driven or water level driven. Please, any help would be appreciated before I begin changing parts. Thanks.
Answer Hello Greg, The dishwasher drains for a predetermined period of time so, if it isn't draining sufficiently, there is either a restriction in the drain or the impeller has debris in it that is limiting the amount of water it can push out. The impeller can also have a mechanical issue, (damaged or spinning on the motor shaft). There could also be a screen partially stopped up. Drain pump WD19X10015. Read More...
