Mark for Model Number gsh25jsdd ss My water line is freezing up. I tried an aftermarket heater strip but I don't think the heating circuit is working, no voltage. Is the main board most likely at fault?
Answer Mark, if the heater strip WR49X10173 (All metal liner SxS production built January 2003 through January 2007 serial numbers AF through AM) was installed and the water dispenser tubing in the door is still freezing, the failure would not be in the main control. This would indicate that the water line is close to the inner panel of the freezer door and the only correction at this point would be replacing the door assembly WR78X11096. The heater strip receives the voltage supply from the dispenser control wires, so if the dispenser is working, the heater should be as well. Read More...
