Answer Paul, If the unit is not defrosting then you will want to check the continuity of the defrost heater and bimetal. If they have continuity then the most likely cause of failure would be the defrost thermistor. This unit does not incorporate a defrost timer but uses the main control board to go into the defrost. It has 4 components of the defrost, the control board, defrost thermistor, defrost heater and limit thermostat/bimetal. The most likely cause of failure will be either the heater or the thermistor.
