Jennifer for Model Number GLD4900P00WW I looked up the bottom door gasket and watched the very helpful video, comparing it to my machine. It looks exactly like what I have that is cracked. Thankfully, water is not leaking, but I am concerned that could happen. Anyway, I was all set to purchase, but then clicked on the cross-reference tool. It said that this part will not be compatible with my dishwasher and suggested a different part that doesn't look like it would replace the piece that is cracked. Please help.
Answer Jennifer, You're about to order the incorrect part number WD08X10075 lower door gasket. The correct part number for the model number you supplied is WD08X10059 / WD08X10059. The replacement procedure is slightly different. " The bottom door seal on PermaTuf tub models is replaced by removing the inner door panel (See Inner Door Panel (PermaTuf Tub Models).) Slide the door seal to one side off the channel. Note: When installing the door seal, be sure the seal slides freely in the channel. To remove the inner door panel: 1. Remove the 8 Phillips-head screws from the inner door. 2. Disconnect the 2 wires from the detergent/rinse module." Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 21, 2015
