Paul for Model Number JBP35DM1WW I have the above GE range mfr 6/2008. 12/2023 I replaced the range oven sensor with a GE part because it not appear to be coming up to the proper temperature and it has been fine since then. Last night I baked something at 385 for an hour and turned the oven off. It seemed to cool down OK but last evening it was beeping an F2 error code. Per instructions in the original booklet I turned off the power at the circuit breaker for 3-4 minutes and it has been fine so far. I turned it on this morning and it came up to temperature OK that I checked with an oven thermometer and then I turned it off without any problems or error messages. The sensor appears to be OK on inspection. Do you recommend I replace it, could it be something else or should I just let it go and see if it recurs?
Answer Hello Paul, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. I would monitor the unit and see if the issue continues. If it does you can check the resistance on that temp senor, which should read about 1.08k to 1.1k ohms at room temp. If that sensor is good, I'd suspect something with the main control [WB27X45466] or a wiring/connection issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 31, 2025
