Jim for Model Number JB735SP5SS The oven temp seems to be varying quite a bit and causes uneven cooking issues. No error codes present. I was going to change the temp sensor being it is relatively cheap and easy access but I am troubled by something. When bake is turned on, the relay in the control panel cycles on and off quite a bit during the pre heat cycle. To me that doesn't seem correct. I would assume it should turn on and then when up to temp turn off and then start cycling to hold the set temp. The issue is this is my brothers oven so I am not sure how it performed when new. Does the relay opening and closing a lot when in pre bake seem normal? If not, would that be an element short or control board issue? It does heat just not correctly. Appears as though the heating element is accessed from the left side for testing. Thank you!
Answer Hello Jim, thanks for reaching out to AppliancePartsPros.com It is normal for the relays to cycle during preheat. Most electric ranges, including this one, cycle between bake and broil during preheat to allow the unit to preheat faster and more efficiently. Read More...
