Don for Model Number GE PEB1590SM2SS When my timer and microwave cooking ends and shuts off, I open the door and the fan, light and turntable continue to run when it should be off. I don't think the microwave cooking is on but the microwave seems to continue to seem as though it is running because the light, fan and turntable are on when the door is open. Might it be a switch sensor on the handle tabs when the door is closed or open
Answer Don, based on the information provided, it sounds like the primary door microswitch WB24X10047 has failed (located at the top of the door switch bracket). With the microwave unplugged, this switch can be tested for continuity when the door is opened. If it has continuity, it has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
