Andy for Model Number PEB1590SM2SS Hello APP folks, My microwave fan, light and turntable come on whenever I open the microwave door. And yesterday it wouldn't start the cooking process when I entered the cook time and pushed start. The light was on inside, and it was counting down as if it was cooking, but the turntable wasn't moving and the fan never came on. I shut the power down to it at the breaker box overnight, and this morning when I powered it back up, it was working normally. I've read several other question and answers on here and it seems like it could be a door switch. How many door switches are in this unit? And is there anything else that might be causing this issue? By the way, the microwave is a GE Profile PEB1590SM2SS and is nine years old.
Answer Andy, based on the information provided, it sounds like there is a failure in the main control WB27X25300 as well as a failing primary microswitch WB24X10047 which would be located on the top of the door latch assembly.
