Jeremy for Model Number ZE2160SF05 Was cooking something (probably too long) and the microwave basically blew a fuse and stopped working towards the end of the heating cycle (probably 5 minutes into a 6 minute set time). The lights and keypad went dark. I removed the microwave from the shelf and tried to plug into a different outlet to no avail. Opened the unit and found the 250v/20amp fuse blew and replaced it. Now the unit powers up with lights on, clock set etc. but when I press start (say on a 1 minute quick warm option) it clicks as if it's going to start but doesn't even though the clock starts counting down. What part/parts do you think I need to replace to get this working? Seems like some thermo switch was triggered. BTW, it's a GE Monogram microwave built in 2014. Thanks!
Answer Jeremy, If nothing on the unit starts when you push the start button then this issue would most likely be a faulty control board. The TCO's in the unit would cause the unit to not operate at all including the display. The only one that would not allow heating would be the magnetron thermostat but would not cause other components to not work . Read More...
