Mark for Model Number DVLR223EG6WW Dryer get really hot with rubber back rugs melts rubber on back, can't leave anything on top of dryer due to heat. Could it be the cycling thermostat?
Answer Hello Mark. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. If the vent is clear, then the cycling thermostat WE4M181 could be the problem with overheating. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, June 3, 2011
