Tom for Model Number JVM6175DF1WW My microwave was having intermittent power on/power off problems. Main fuse is OK. I could sometimes get it to power back on by opening and shutting the door which lead me to believe the problem was the the door switches. Now no power at all. I tested the switches according to instructions I found online and they check out OK so, I moved on to the fuses mounted on the bottom behind the panel. The fuse on the left (I'm not sure if that is a termostat) has no continuity, the one on the right has continuity, next I checked the fuse on top of the magnetron, it has continuity. Could the fuse/thermostat with no continuity which is marked ksd-40lc 70 be the problem, if not, any idea where to go next?
Answer Tom, the left thermostat on this model is going to read normally open for continuity until it reaches a certain temperature as it is used to automatically turn the blower vent on to protect the controls. Based on the information provided, it would be recommended that the main control WB27X11080 is tested for 120VAC to identify if it is receiving proper voltage. If it is, then it has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, January 5, 2021
