Ed C. for Model Number SCA1000DWW03 My advantium 120 is completely dead. I was told to check the fuse and the TCO's. The magnetron TCO is closed as I saw it opens at 302°. I was told by a tech that the hood TCO WB21x10045 was normally closed. The part in the oven is Open, and the replacement part I ordered arrived open, and another arrived open. So I am wondering about it is it open or closed?. If this part was open would that be the cause of a complete oven shut down? The only thing I did not test was the Wb21x10046 TCO, as it seems hard to get to. Again if this was bad would the oven completely shut down and is it normally open? Any other ideas are appreciated. Thanks
Answer Hello Ed, One of the thermostats behind the control panel is supposed to read open and the other closed. The oven cavity TCO WB20X10048 should read closed. This is the common one to fail although it is harder to reach. It does kill power to the units' control panel and the unit will do nothing. Note the tech sheet should be in the unit behind the control panel. It will have a wiring diagram on it which shows the units circuitry. Read More...
