Ken September 21, 2021 for Model Number je1590sh02 The convection part does not reflect actual oven temperature. Is there a reset / calibrate and if not what part might solve the issue?
1 Answer Ken, the thermistor WB18X10126 would be used by the main control WB27X25300 to monitor the temperature of the convection cycle. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not show a resistance testing procedure for this thermistor to verify if it is properly operational. Read More...
Martin April 08, 2021 for Model Number JVM1490BD003 After doing some really strange things, oven is now totally dead. No power at all. This all happened after using at high temp for about an hour. At first, it would die and then come back after a while. But at some point, it just died. Could it be the oven cavity temp cut-out?
1 Answer Martin, it would be recommended that the main control WB27X10466 (control has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available) is tested for 120VAC at the two-wire connector. If there is proper voltage, the control has failed. If there is no voltage, the microwave power cord would need to be unplugged and the bottom TCO WB24X31473, cavity TCO WB20X10048, magnetron TCO WB21X10054, and fuse WB27X10928 would need to be tested for continuity. If any of the parts fail to have continuity, then it would need to be replaced. Read More...
Ray May 04, 2020 for Model Number JVM1490BD003 On bake the oven will only heat to 100% when set at 350. The microwave heats properly. Everything works fine except for the convection low heat. Could this be one of the thermostats?
1 Answer Ray, The thermostat would not cause the unit to not heat properly and this would be more likely a control issue if it works for one part and not another. Read More...
Sam April 23, 2020 for Model Number ZSC1001KSS01 There was a power surge and the microwave lost all power as a result. The fuse is fine, I believe the magnetron tco is the reason it won’t turn on. But could the upper heater and open cavity tco also be the reason?
1 Answer Sam, The parts in question could all or any one of them be an issue. I would recommend they be tested with a meter to determine which of the parts are causing the issue. It could be one of these or others causing the issue. If you need further help feel free to call and speak with one of our agents at 1-877-477-7278. Read More...
Harnish63 December 28, 2019 for Model Number SCB1001KSS01 Digital display on the microwave (SCB1001KSS01) goes blank when the oven below is on for awhile heating at high temps or if we use microwave to heat liquid that produces a lot of steam. Is it the tco or one of thermal fuse that is the problem? If so which one?
1 Answer Harnish, Yes, the oven thermostat would be the most likely cause of this issue. Read More...
Jeffrey January 02, 2019 for Model Number GE SCB2001FSS 02 with my GE Advantium oven, the microwave portion of the oven runs but does not heat. The radiant/convential side seems to work ok. Is there a thermal fuse or cut-out that would allow it to run in microwave mode but not heat?
1 Answer Jeffrey, You have a thermostat on the magnetron that if is open meaning no continuity will stop the unit from heating. Also, the magnet on the magnetron could be broke and that will make the unit stop heating also. Use extreme caution when checking these components there is a high voltage capacitor close by that could potentially be holding 2000 volts. Read More...
Dave December 10, 2017 for Model Number SCA100HSS01 This will be the 3rd time I replaced the cavity tco. Every time it has went, was when it was at 400* cooking. It there something else that is causing tco to fail.
1 Answer Dave, If the TCO is failing then check to make sure that the unit is not overheating and if it is then it is possible that the relay for the heat is faulty. Read More...
Joe October 30, 2017 for Model Number GE JE1590SH02 fabricated in 2005 The convection section of the microwave will not heat up. The heating element has continuity @ .9 ohms. The Thermistor (part #233591) puts up 281K ohms at room temp. Resistance drops as it is placed in hot water. (Negative temp coefficient). The Oven cavity Temp cut out ( part # 235672) has continuity @ .7ohms. The microwave section works perfectly in all respects. I purchased a heating element expecting that would be the problem before I did any troubleshooting but with continuity across the contacts I don't see any point in replacing it. What am I missing?
1 Answer Hello Joe. Based on the information you provided, you will need to order and replace the main board WB27X25300 on the unit. Thank you. Read More...
Rue March 29, 2017 for Model Number PVM9195SF1SS If the magnetron t.c.o. is damaged, will it cause my microwave to lose all power?
1 Answer Rue, The magnetron thermostat would not cause the unit to lose all power but a bad oven cavity tco or a bad fuse would cause this issue. Read More...
Mcspiffy August 25, 2016 for Model Number SCA1001HSS01 I ordered a fuse as well as two TCOs in an attempt to troubleshoot a sudden loss of power to my 2004 GE Profile Advantium 120 Convection Microwave. I only see two TCO's available for my model (WB21X10046 Thermostat - Upper Heater and WB21X10045TCO Base Hood). The instructions I have lists three TCOs: Magnetron TCO, Hood TCO and Cavity TCO. My question is: is the Thermostat - Upper Heater TCO = Magnetron TCO? The top of the Magnetron TCO appears to be stamped with "Z123" in large print and then "1507" in smaller print below. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance!
