Jeffrey for Model Number GE SCB2001FSS 02 with my GE Advantium oven, the microwave portion of the oven runs but does not heat. The radiant/convential side seems to work ok. Is there a thermal fuse or cut-out that would allow it to run in microwave mode but not heat?
Answer Jeffrey, You have a thermostat on the magnetron that if is open meaning no continuity will stop the unit from heating. Also, the magnet on the magnetron could be broke and that will make the unit stop heating also. Use extreme caution when checking these components there is a high voltage capacitor close by that could potentially be holding 2000 volts. Read More...
