Lintilla for Model Number DDE7500BALAD Timer does not advance in automatic dry cycles. How do I tell if I need a timer or a thermostat? Dryer does not overheat.
Answer Lintilla, The quickest and easies test, disconnect the dryer exhaust vent pipe from the back of the dryer. with the dryer empty and set for an auto advance cycle, start the dryer and let it run 15 to 20 minutes, then check to see if the timer dial has advanced. The most common problem with this style dryer is a clogged or restricted exhaust vent system. if the air flow is incorrect, the timer will not advance. Good Luck. Read More...
