Guy April 11, 2016 for Model Number DDE9200GAL WH I have to dry my cloths two times for it to be dry looks like its not getting hot enought to dry once is there a high heat and a low heat theromastat on this unit.
1 Answer Hello Guy. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Jay J May 31, 2013 for Model Number Nvlr333evoww My Hotpoint dryer will heat up in all of the cycles but it will not cycle off in either of the auto cycles. Is this a sensor problem or a timer problem? Thank you for your help
Lintilla August 09, 2011 for Model Number DDE7500BALAD Timer does not advance in automatic dry cycles. How do I tell if I need a timer or a thermostat? Dryer does not overheat.
1 Answer Lintilla, The quickest and easies test, disconnect the dryer exhaust vent pipe from the back of the dryer. with the dryer empty and set for an auto advance cycle, start the dryer and let it run 15 to 20 minutes, then check to see if the timer dial has advanced. The most common problem with this style dryer is a clogged or restricted exhaust vent system. if the air flow is incorrect, the timer will not advance. Good Luck. Read More...
