Andy for Model Number JVM1661SB001 My microwave does not heat and turntable does not turn. Light goes on and the internal fan works. From all outward appearances you'd think it works. However what you take out is always the same temperature as when you put it in. Help! Is it a door switch or a magnetron?
Answer Hello Andy, Looking at it logically, the turntable has nothing to do with the high voltage circuit. In light of this, I would suspect a control circuit. While the door switches are in the control circuits, they also have nothing to do with the high voltage circuit. I would suspect the control board since it controls both the turntable and the high voltage circuits. This unit needs to be tested with a test meter for issues. Using the tech sheet inside the unit will give you both the items in the circuits to test and the specifications for the components being tested. There will also be a flow chart to follow that will normally pinpoint the issue if followed correctly. Let us know if we can assist you further. Read More...
