Brian for Model Number WSM27000DAWWW Washer goes through rinse and drain cycles just fine, and agitation seems normal, but when it goes to spin cycle, the motor/drive pulley engage, but the belt does not move and the transmission will not move at all. It made a horrible squeaking noise(belt on drive pulley) and eventually smoked before I could shut it off. The belt could use replacing, as the heat cracked part of it, but the transmission will NOT spin at all in spin cycle, even if I reach in and try to help it get started manually. Is it a bearing, or is my transmission toast? Or is it just the belt? I don't mind spending the $58 on a belt, but I'd rather not if the transmission has failed. Thoughts?
Answer Brian, if there is not an item stuck in between the spin basket and outer tub, the failure would be in the transmission WH38X10014. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Sunday, December 5, 2021
