Wayne D for Model Number CGS980SEM655 We have a GE gas range Model No. CGS980SEM655 about 5 years old. When we light the right rear burner (the smallest one - simmer) it will light but then the flame goes out after a few seconds. Sometimes it will not go completely out and will recover. Once it does, it seems to work fine but one time it went out later. I've discovered that if I light the Right Front burner first and turn it off, the Right Rear lights without a problem. This is the only burner that has a problem. I ruled out the Valve Control Assembly since it feeds all burners. I'm thinking of purchasing the Valve Burner (No. 270) but only two part numbers are shown (WB21K10096 and 10097). Is this my problem and which Valve Burner should I buy? Thanks, Wayne Davison
Answer Wayne, This issue sounds like it would most likely be caused by a burner valve that is faulty. The part number for the valve would be WB21K10096. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, September 13, 2016
