By: Ge
Part Number: OEM13444290
Manufacturer Part Number: WB19K10051

This valve control assembly regulates gas flow to a single surface burner as you turn the knob, enabling smooth flame adjustment and reliable shutoff on gas ranges and cooktops when the original valve is worn or sticking. What it does:

  • Meters gas to the surface burner in response to knob position
  • Helps ensure consistent ignition and a stable flame across settings
  • Restores precise simmer-to-boil control
  • Typical symptoms: burner won't light, flame won't adjust or goes out on low, knob is hard to turn or won't shut off cleanly
What's included:
  • One valve control assembly
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before servicing
  • Allow the appliance to cool; remove the knob and access panel/cooktop to reach the manifold
  • Note valve orientation; transfer the existing orifice hood and/or spark switch if equipped
  • After reassembly, check all connections with an approved leak-detection solution before restoring service

Brian for Model Number RGB745BEH4WH

I have replaced the Electronic Relay Board. The ignitors for the stove and broiler both work. The temperature sensor also works. It sensors temp. for the broiler but has trouble with the oven. The gas comes on and the oven fires but will not reach tempurature. It senses 350 degrees when this bottom plate is out, but will not heat above 250 degrees when the bottom plate is in. The gas chamber fires but I am not sure how long the flames should be??? It only gets luke warm, not hot. Should I replace the valve next?

Answer

Brian, If the unit works with the oven bottom out but not working properly with the oven bottom in then there is some type of air flow issue with the bake burner. Check the burner to make sure that there are no cobwebs in the air shutter or rust around the burner ports as this would be the most common reason for your issue.
