Part Number: OEM13444290
Manufacturer Part Number: WB19K10051

This valve control assembly regulates gas flow to a single surface burner as you turn the knob, enabling smooth flame adjustment and reliable shutoff on gas ranges and cooktops when the original valve is worn or sticking. What it does:

  • Meters gas to the surface burner in response to knob position
  • Helps ensure consistent ignition and a stable flame across settings
  • Restores precise simmer-to-boil control
  • Typical symptoms: burner won't light, flame won't adjust or goes out on low, knob is hard to turn or won't shut off cleanly
What's included:
  • One valve control assembly
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before servicing
  • Allow the appliance to cool; remove the knob and access panel/cooktop to reach the manifold
  • Note valve orientation; transfer the existing orifice hood and/or spark switch if equipped
  • After reassembly, check all connections with an approved leak-detection solution before restoring service

Questions & Answers

For Ge Valve Control Assembly (Surface Burner) (Part Number: OEM13444290)

AR, If the top is working as normal then the issue will not be the regulator. With no glow, I would suggest checking for power to the oven ignitor. If you have power to the ignitor and it does not glow then the ignitor would need to be replaced. If there is no power to the ignitor when turned on for bake you would need to check the control next.

Benny, It would not be recommended to attach a regulator that is not approved for use on this range.

Scott, based on the information provided, the gas valve assembly WB19K10041 has failed as it is not closing fully once the ignitor stops receiving voltage.

Alex, it is possible that the valve assembly could be the cause. However, if the model number for your appliance could be provided in a new inquiry, the most accurate information can be presented.

Brian for Model Number RGB745BEH4WH

I have replaced the Electronic Relay Board. The ignitors for the stove and broiler both work. The temperature sensor also works. It sensors temp. for the broiler but has trouble with the oven. The gas comes on and the oven fires but will not reach tempurature. It senses 350 degrees when this bottom plate is out, but will not heat above 250 degrees when the bottom plate is in. The gas chamber fires but I am not sure how long the flames should be??? It only gets luke warm, not hot. Should I replace the valve next?

Brian, If the unit works with the oven bottom out but not working properly with the oven bottom in then there is some type of air flow issue with the bake burner. Check the burner to make sure that there are no cobwebs in the air shutter or rust around the burner ports as this would be the most common reason for your issue.

Hello Butch, If you have replaced the ignitor and the gas valve, the only other thing in the circuit is the relay board WB27K10355.

Robert, To convert the oven burners back to natural gas you will loosen the orifices 1 1/2 to 2 turns and close off the air shutters. There may have to be some tweaking done to get the flame blue. On the regulator there will be a cap that you remove and flip over from LP to Nat.

Hi JJ. Check the oven sensor part # AP2023670 for 1100ohms. If it is open then it will not allow the controls to work. Are there any fault codes showing? Can you command bake and broil temperature ranges as the clock works well? Is the clock fully lit up ? Make sure you have 120 vac on the red wire at the K-1 Broil relay and the K-2 Bake relay. GE GAS (ROUND) IGNITER / VALVE ; Test for 2.6-3.0 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. Part # AP4481427. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can use a ohm meter part # AP3440648 to aid you in this. You will read between 50 - 250 ohms on a cold igniter. Thank You.

Tony, The only place you'll need to add something is at the regulator. You will want to use Teflon tape or pipe compound on the threads of the 1/2 in. "close in" nipple and adapter to the gas line, all the other fittings are pre tightenned, and the gas line adapter to the broil burner is a flared fitting and will seat and seal on it's own, if installed properly.
