By: Ge
Part Number: OEM13444290
Manufacturer Part Number: WB19K10051

This valve control assembly regulates gas flow to a single surface burner as you turn the knob, enabling smooth flame adjustment and reliable shutoff on gas ranges and cooktops when the original valve is worn or sticking. What it does:

  • Meters gas to the surface burner in response to knob position
  • Helps ensure consistent ignition and a stable flame across settings
  • Restores precise simmer-to-boil control
  • Typical symptoms: burner won't light, flame won't adjust or goes out on low, knob is hard to turn or won't shut off cleanly
What's included:
  • One valve control assembly
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before servicing
  • Allow the appliance to cool; remove the knob and access panel/cooktop to reach the manifold
  • Note valve orientation; transfer the existing orifice hood and/or spark switch if equipped
  • After reassembly, check all connections with an approved leak-detection solution before restoring service

Hi JJ. Check the oven sensor part # AP2023670 for 1100ohms. If it is open then it will not allow the controls to work. Are there any fault codes showing? Can you command bake and broil temperature ranges as the clock works well? Is the clock fully lit up ? Make sure you have 120 vac on the red wire at the K-1 Broil relay and the K-2 Bake relay. GE GAS (ROUND) IGNITER / VALVE ; Test for 2.6-3.0 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. Part # AP4481427. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can use a ohm meter part # AP3440648 to aid you in this. You will read between 50 - 250 ohms on a cold igniter. Thank You.
