Jj for Model Number jgbp33seh2s Oven would not ignite, replaced ignitor, still will not light. The control panel display shows to be operating properly, would the problem be the oven safety valve?
Answer Hi JJ. Check the oven sensor part # AP2023670 for 1100ohms. If it is open then it will not allow the controls to work. Are there any fault codes showing? Can you command bake and broil temperature ranges as the clock works well? Is the clock fully lit up ? Make sure you have 120 vac on the red wire at the K-1 Broil relay and the K-2 Bake relay. GE GAS (ROUND) IGNITER / VALVE ; Test for 2.6-3.0 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. Part # AP4481427. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can use a ohm meter part # AP3440648 to aid you in this. You will read between 50 - 250 ohms on a cold igniter. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 28, 2012
