Grizz for Model Number JGB905SEF1SS I replaced the oven igniter in 2012 when it was taking too long for the oven to heat. I replaced the broiler igniter last month when the broiler quit lighting. Both repairs solved the respective issues. But for the last 6 months or so the oven makes a "poofing" sound almost every time the oven goes on. It started out once in a while and got progressively worse. I hear a soft click like the valve is getting the signal, and then a "poof" as the gas comes back on. It does not happen in broiler mode and there are no issues with the burner jets on top. All flames throughout the range seem to flow freely and I have no other issues. I just replaced the oven igniter again because it was the cheapest option, but it did not fix the issue. It may sound strange, but if I listen very closely, sometimes it actually sounds like I can hear (what sounds like) the valve opening very slowly. I think I need a new valve control, but I am asking for your opinion. Thank you
Answer Hello Grizz, This can be the gas valve, a gas pressure issue, or the burner. I would have the utility board check the pressure and if no problem is there, replace the gas valve WB19K36 and bake burner WB16K10035. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 10, 2016
