Paul for Model Number EWA3000B1WW Hello, my washer is now not working. It fills with water well, then I hear a click as if the motor is going to start, however nothing happens at that point. it then times down the wash cycles all while doing nothing at all. I checked the agitator which appears ok, the belt looks new and I can spin the pulleys. the motor also gets hot as if it is getting power but nothing happens until the drain cycle. I have seen comments about the agitator coupling possibly helping. is that a common fix or does it sound like something else. I don't mind trying the 7.00 coupling and having it not work, but if its a motor, I think I'm better off getting a new one for the price. any help would be appreciated, thank you
Answer Paul, The agitator coupler would most likely not be the cause of the unit not agitator or spinning. This would most likely be a motor or transmission issue. You could pull the belt off the unit and see if the motor turns with the belt off and if it does then the transmission is most likely bad. Read More...
