John for Model Number GHWN4250D0WW I just purchased WH12X10614 control assembly and installed it and the washer does nothing. It acts like there is no power to it though I know there is. I tilted the washer to get to the back screws to remove the old unit and install the new one. I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or if I got a defective part. Thank you
Answer Hello John, Tilting the machine would have nothing to do with this issue. You should actually remove the front panel and carefully unwind the black cloth tape from the harness on the left side of the inside of the cabinet and if there is a black section in the white wire with a red trace, cut it out and splice the wires together. Rewrap the wires with the black cloth tape and try it again. You cannot replace the fusible link since the manufacturer has discontinued it. This should re-establish power to the motor assembly.
