Joe for Model Number GTWN4250D0WS My washer does some strange things; on filling it will not allow hot water unless you leave the lid open; as soon as you close the lid water switches to cold. This does not happen on auto load sensing option; then there is no hot at all just cold and the water shuts off with the lid open. Real weird, it was normal when new. Also the auto sensing load and small load option doesn't really seem to work well it allows more water than it should. I'm not too concerned with that. I assume the control board has a glitch and should be replaced to fix this. I no you have the part but do you have any written or video instructions on getting the front face off to access this.
Answer Joe, The correct control assembly for the model number you supplied is WH12X10614C, and access is relatively easy. Remove power to the washer, remove the four(4) screws across the top of the control panel, and "roll" the control panel down and onto the top of the washer. Take photos or label all the connectors and wires, remove the four(4) screws that mount the control to the bracket, and remove the control. Reverse the procedure, restore power and check the washer for operation. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, June 12, 2018
