Earl for Model Number TPX24BRBJBB Water is running out the ice chute of the icemaker. It has a water dispenser, too. Icemaker or water valve failure? Thanks!
Answer Hello Earl, If the water is coming out of the ice chute, the water dispense is not the issue. Open the freezer door and remove the ice bin. Use a flashlight to see if water is coming from the ice maker fill tube. If so, replace the water inlet valve WR57X10019. If not, check the bottom of the ice maker to see if it's hot. There could be a set of contacts in the ice maker motor control module that is keeping the mold heater on. This will constantly melt the ice. Be careful when you check it! It gets plenty hot enough to raise a blister! Let us know if we can assist you further. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, July 7, 2012
