Fix It Jane for Model Number bucket-assembly-ice-akc55858901 I read over and over about people with the same problem I have with the plastic auger breaking in this model ice bucket assembly. I know I can purchase a new one for $145 or so, but if it is still made with the same plastic, it is going to do the same thing again. Have there been any changes to prevent this problem? Can't afford to purchase this part over and over again.
