Pat for Model Number LSC27931ST I have had problems with the ice maker bin since I bought this model 9 years ago. As long as I use the cube setting and empty the bin daily I have no problem. But once I use the crushed setting the ice bin begins to keep residual of the ice and it starts to build up and clogs the emptying entrance. Even if I switch back to cubes it remains clogged until I remove the bin, empty and defrost all ice pieces. If the bin is not emptied at least every 48 hours it will start to freeze the bin in place and it has to be manually defrosted as the bin canot be removed. From other reviews I see it doesn't appear there has been any changes made to the bin but apparently the air freezes the entrance somehow. Seems it would be better served if a different material was used other than the plastic in place. I hate going thru this routine. Is there any way of correcting this situation?
