Duane for Model Number LDF6920ST I've replaced the drying fan assembly and there is about a quarter cup of water that comes out the drain tube during the wash and rinse cycles. Why would this be happening? Is the diaphragm not closing completely to stop the water into the housing?
Answer Duane, the dishwasher is going to have some water in it as part of the design. The reason the dishwasher has about a quarter of a cup of water in the sump housing is to keep the seals wet so that they do not decay quickly. If they were to be dry after a wash, this could cause them to decay from continuously being wet and dry causing leaks throughout the dishwashers sump assembly. Read More...
