The Blower Motor Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG dishwashers. Located inside the wash cavity, it functions to distribute heated air throughout during the dry cycle. Rapid rotation of the blower motor blades works to eject moisture from dishes and ensure thorough drying.

Causes of a bad blower motor include failure of the motor itself, cracks in the blades that disrupt airflow, or bearing issues preventing proper rotation.

Symptoms include:

  • Dishes still feeling damp after a cycle
  • Puddles of water remaining in the bottom of the dishwasher
  • Water droplets on upper racks/dishes
  • The motor producing grinding/squealing noises on startup

It is also compatible with some Kenmore dishwashers using LG components.

For Lg Blower Motor Assembly (Part Number: OEM13333662)

Duane, the dishwasher is going to have some water in it as part of the design. The reason the dishwasher has about a quarter of a cup of water in the sump housing is to keep the seals wet so that they do not decay quickly. If they were to be dry after a wash, this could cause them to decay from continuously being wet and dry causing leaks throughout the dishwashers sump assembly.

Justin for Model Number LDF7774ST

My dishes haven't being dried well for some time. Even when running the extra dry cycle they are not completely dry. I suspect airflow is the culprit, as the dishwasher is quite warm during these cycles. I would like to test these parts, the vent opening and closing, and the fan, but I don't know what resistance is typical for these parts. Can you shed any light on what my multimeter should read so I can be sure I need the part before purchasing? Thank you

Justin, Unfortunately the manufacturer does not show what the resistance should be on this part. You would want to check to see if the part is getting 120 vac to it and if it is but not opening then this will be a bad vent.

Hello John. You will need to check the wiring for the heater and if it is good, you will need to replace the control board in the unit.

Jim, On this casing assembly, because it is basically the vent for the unit there will be condensation that build and will run out through the drain tube. So yes it is normal for water to drip out of the drain tube.

Ray, If there is water coming out of the vent then the vent would be the issue and you would need to replace the casing. The way to check the unit is by running with the front panel off to make a visual check.

Hello Josie. The old vent will fit the ABT35083801 casing assembly. No need to replace it too unless you just want to. Hope this helped!
