Terry for Model Number 795.74032.412 My Freezer and fridge are not cooling down as it should. I put a thermometer in the freezer overnight and it read 22 degrees and the fridge is only 50 degrees. Also, the ice maker stopped making ice. After reading some of the questions, I'm wondering if it's the compressor overload protector, the temperature sensor, or even the compressor going out?
Answer Terry, the condenser coils near the compressor would need to be cleaned. If they are clean, the next step would be identifying if the condenser fan and compressor are operating. If they are, the evaporator coils will need to be inspected for ice build-up that could be preventing airflow. If there is not ice build-up or if there is no frost pattern, there is likely a sealed system failure that would require an EPA-certified technician to diagnose and repair the failure. Read More...
