Terry March 20, 2023 for Model Number 795.74032.412 My Freezer and fridge are not cooling down as it should. I put a thermometer in the freezer overnight and it read 22 degrees and the fridge is only 50 degrees. Also, the ice maker stopped making ice. After reading some of the questions, I'm wondering if it's the compressor overload protector, the temperature sensor, or even the compressor going out?
1 Answer Terry, the condenser coils near the compressor would need to be cleaned. If they are clean, the next step would be identifying if the condenser fan and compressor are operating. If they are, the evaporator coils will need to be inspected for ice build-up that could be preventing airflow. If there is not ice build-up or if there is no frost pattern, there is likely a sealed system failure that would require an EPA-certified technician to diagnose and repair the failure. Read More...
Tom February 07, 2023 for Model Number 795.71063.010 Hi. Both my fridge and freezer are not cooling, about 70 degrees in the freezer section. Compressor and condenser fan are running. Coils are clean. I noticed the evaporator has no ice at all, not even cold when I touch it. Could that be a sealed system issue or something minor like a temperature or thermostat issue? I tested the temperature sensor and it shows about 5.5 K ohms when I put the sensor in ice water. Would that cause this issue?
1 Answer Tom, Based on the information provided this does sound like a sealed system issue therefore you will need an EPA-certified technician for these repairs. Read More...
Zildlor July 04, 2022 for Model Number LG LFX31945ST/05 Hello, I’m trying to replace the Thermistor in my fridge with part ACQ73244001 and I thought it was located in the upper LED assembly but I don’t see it. Where is the part?
1 Answer Zidlor, the temperature sensor 6500JB2001B would be located in the evaporator cover near the bottom. Read More...
Malik May 23, 2022 for Model Number LFXS30766S Hi... my freezer is working fine but refrigerator does not. We've it set to 33 but its not hitting that temp but fluctuates between 41-50. I checked if coil was iced but nope. Refrigerator fan is also running with no issue. My issue may be temperature sensor and looking to replace but not sure which one is it. I see one sensor i.e. ACQ73244001 in vegetable drawer but another one i.e 6500JB2001B with led light. Can you please explain how the 2 are different and which one should i replaced.
Mike C May 11, 2022 for Model Number 79571036010 Hello - Is Temperature Sensor Part No. ACQ73244001 the same as Temperature Sensor Part No. 6500JB2001B without the cover? The descriptions are confusing to me. My refrigerator and freezer are not cooling / freezing. I removed temperature sensor ACQ73244001from the freezer compartment area. The resistance measures 2.5K Ohms at room temperature and 7.65K Ohms in ice water...what are the normal readings for ACQ73244001? If sensor 6500JB2001B is different, where is that located and what should the resistance be? Thank you!
1 Answer Mike C, as a rule of thumb the sensors all have the same resistances but have different length wires and connectors often. Either sensor can work as long as you can connect it (splice/plug in). Read More...
Chuck January 03, 2022 for Model Number Kenmore 795.73133.410 (LG) Compressor is running but temps are pretty warm (45 in fridge and everything in freezer is melting). Evap fans not working. Took them out and put 12 VDC to them and they work fine. Any ideas?
1 Answer Chuck, the fans would need to be inspected when the door switches are being manually activated as the fans will not operate unless the switches are in the closed positions. If they do not operate this way, the main control EBR79267107 would be the likely cause of failure. If they do start to operate this way, the frost pattern on the evaporators would need to be inspected as there should be a light even coating of frost across the entire evaporator. If there is not an even coating of frost, there would likely be a sealed system failure if the condenser coils are clean. If this is the case, an EPA-certified technician would be needed for diagnosing and repairing this unit. Read More...
Doug S November 16, 2021 for Model Number 79571053010 My refrigerator is cold but the freezer in not. There is no frost on the coils and they are clean. The fan by the compressor is working and there is cold air blowing into the refrigerator, the freezer and the ice maker. The PCBs all look fine with no smell or sign of burning. Ran the tests with the test button and and everything is working. Also the LED on the board is not flashing with error codes. Could the problem be the temperature sensor?
1 Answer Doug S., Thanks for the question!!! If there is no frost on the coils and the compressor is running then you would have a sealed system issue and will need an EPA certified technician. Read More...

Wpr September 06, 2021 for Model Number LFXS30766S Hello - I replaced the evaporator fan and installed a new PCB in the LG LFXS30766. The freezer and ice maker are working fine, but the refrigerator ranges from 41F - 45F. Is the refrigerator temperature sensor located in the freezer (part number LG AP4670760)? If not where is the refrigerator sensor and what is the part number? I can't find it. Thanks!
Rich August 14, 2021 for Model Number LMX30995ST HI There, Hope all is well! I am having an issue with my LG model LMX30995ST- Just turned 7 years old- replaced Compressor last year this time, New issue in the frig compartment, the temp fluctuates from 33 to 50 degrees F when it is set at 34 in the fridge section. The freezer section seems to be ok and is around 5 degrees F. I was thinking it was the refrigerator compartment sensor that could be the issue, but I could not locate it physically. Any help would be appreciated. Please help if you can. Thanks and have a good day, Rich
1 Answer Rich, the temperature sensor 6500JB2001B is located in the top LED assembly and it could be the potential cause of failure. Read More...
