Peter for Model Number WM2240CW I'm working on an LG Washing Machine that will run for a while then stop. When I power it back up is shows a PF code. When I press Start/Pause, it starts from where it stopped the cycle for a minute and then the machine shuts off with no indicator lights and screen off as if someone yanked the power cord from the outlet. When I power it back up it shows PF again. Could the noise filter assembly be overheating causing this? Or should I replace main control board?
Answer Peter, while it is possible that the filter board [6201EC1006T] could be causing the issue, you may want to test it when it fails. If the filter board continues to send 120VAC to the main control, then more than likely it would be the main control [EBR65989426] that is failing. The only way to confirm if the filter board is dropping voltage would be to catch it in the act by having the probes of a meter testing the voltage going from the filter board to the main board as it is failing.
