Goosey for Model Number LDP6797BD LG Dishwasher LDP6797BD; Noise Filter info on side: EAM60991316 Si80522 CZL LG-FL-02 Well, I'm actually having fun dissecting this thing seeing that I am probably just gonna end up replacing. Might as well try! Dishwasher just "poof" no power on control panel etc etc. I am getting strong light on my little Kobalt 4 way AC/DC tester from the black chord in junction box. So, 2 things. For the noise/line filter (I removed) there is epoxy. So how do I test for continuity thru epoxy. I don't even know what that means, but will my little Kobalt thing even do that? If so HOW? Couldn't you just scratch in there and put in a new fuse? Also, for the control BOARD (on side). I'll be damn if I can figure out how to push those little clips to get it to come off. I'm scared pressing it with screwdriver will bust it. I'd love to hear from you! Fun. I am a girl who is tired of people telling me I can't fix stuff AND there is no such thing as a fuse in a dishwasher!! Speaking of...is there a thermal fuse I should look at too. I wanna know it ALL...yaaay me!!
Answer Goosey, Unfortunately, the Kobalt circuit tester will not work for testing the dishwasher and you will need to use a multimeter to do this. The noise filter fuse cannot be replaced and you would need to replace the noise filter. The connectors normally have a tab you push in on then pull out on the connector to release it. Read More...
