Sharon for Model Number 721 62622200 I am wondering if the charcoal filter is only used when the microwave is setup to vent into the room versus through the duct work. I currently have this microwave in a rental, there is ductwork present above the microwave but I know when they build tract houses a lot of the time they are not correctly installed. This filter is filthy and I will replace if I need to, but if it is only used when venting in the room, I will skip it and have my electrician hook it up correctly to the duct work present. Thank you in advance
Answer Sharon, Yes the charcoal filter is used for when the unit is being recirculated back into the room and is not needed when correct outside venting is available. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, May 6, 2013
