Tom for Model Number LG dishwasher LDS4821ST LG dishwasher LDS4821ST door is leaking at bottom. After searching for several hours for the bottom door gasket (seal) and looking at multiple LG exploded parts diagrams for the door and finding nothing, I finally ran across a YouTube video which explained that LG has made the gasket an integral part of the door. So you must remove and buy the entire door in order to replace just the gasket (very bad LG design). Yeah, I know, I looked at videos of other dishwasher brands on how to replace the bottom door gasket, but none for LG. And the reason is it can't be replaced except to buy a new door. But I can find no documentation that ever mentions this. Any other way to fix this other than buying a new inner door?
Answer Tom, the model provided would not use a lower door gasket. It is recommended that the lower spray arm AGB32598301 is inspected for any cracks or clogged jets as this can create waves in the water that will spill out. It would also be recommended that the water level is inspected once the unit has completed a fill cycle to identify if the water level is too high. Read More...
