Janice for Model Number WM2487H*M I got an error code of tE on my washing machine. I understand from another website that it's a Heating sensor error. They say it's the Drum thermistor or Heating element that needs to be replaced. Is that two separate parts or all included in the heater assembly? Thank you!
Answer Janice, the error code " tE" is a HEATING Error • The THERMISTOR is out order. The thermistor and heater are available as separate components 6322FR2046C Sensor and AEG33121501 Heater (also contains the thermistor). You may want to access the front of the wash tub, and check the wiring to the heater and thermistor first. Quite often the problem is a loose wire connection or corrosion. If you have a multi meter THERMISTOR should be 2.5 ohms to 180 ohms (changes ohms at differing temperatures). The Heating Element has 10 ohms to 30 ohms resistance across the terminals. If all's OK, then the problem would be in the control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, September 14, 2017
