Mckenna July 19, 2023 for Model Number WM3600HVA I do have a meter. How do I know if the element has failed? It does not appear to be heating.
1 Answer McKenna, the thermistor would need to be tested for resistance and should measure 39.5K Ohms at 86°F. The heating element would also need to be tested for resistance and it should measure about 13 Ohms. Read More...
1 Answer Hudson, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the thermistor separately from the heater assembly AEG33121501. Read More...

Victor July 12, 2019 for Model Number lg wm2455 am waiting for rear tub to repair my lg washer. I noticed the heating element was hanging down so tried to realign it. it seams that the seal don't fit as tight as it should. is there a new gasket that is available or is there some kind of gasket sealer I could use. The element works but I am afraid that the element could leak.
1 Answer Hello Victor, there are no additional gaskets and no type of sealer can be recommended. It is likely the original gasket on the heater assembly has been compressed and cannot longer seal fully, the gasket is only available with a new heater assembly part AEG33121501. Read More...
Sean February 07, 2019 for Model Number Lg wm2688hwm Hello I got code tE, checked the resistance on thermistor it started out about 40 ohm put fingertips around started to drop fan hot water on it it dropped, test heating element on bottom of drum ( next to thermistor) read about 14 ohms are these readings showing ok, or what could be problem
1 Answer Sean, The resistance readings are in range (heater element+10-3- ohms resist. Thermistor 2.5 -180 K ohms at room temp.) Now, you need to check the resistances on the connectors at the main control board, once you put everything back together. If you have the same resistance readings at the connectors at the control board, check for any frayed connections or wires(especially at the thermistor), If all re checks OK, replace the control board.
