Brian for Model Number LG Ice Maker Assembly AEQ72909603 I have already replaced the ice maker 4 times through Sears service. (French door, bottom freezer Kenmore). What happens is the tray pops out of the ice maker carriage and drops into the ice cube bin. What makes this worse is that the ice maker continues attempting to make ice and ends up dumping water into the ice cube bin while the tray is dangling in it. Eventually the bin fills with Ice with the tray frozen to it making opening the freezer drawer almost impossible. This last time the repair tech inserted a screw with washers into the far end of the tray's pivot rod, that is the axis on which the tray rotates further from the motor. The thought being that the tray usually pops out here because there's some slack and that preventing it from popping out at all would solve the problem. Guess what? Now the tray popped out from the motor side.
